After a hard-fought goalless draw against Shabana in Kisii over the weekend, Gor Mahia return to action this afternoon with a midweek league clash against Murang’a Seal at Kasarani Stadium, kick-off set for 4:00pm.

A return to winning ways would see us move to the top of the table as the chase for current league leaders AFC Leopards intensifies.

However, Murang’a Seal have proven to be a stubborn opponent since their promotion to the top flight two seasons ago. Despite remaining unbeaten against them, we have managed just one win in four meetings, with the other three ending in draws. Notably, we are yet to record a home victory against the Murang’a-based side, a record the team will be eager to put right today.

Although Murang’a Seal sit ninth on the log, they arrive in Nairobi in good form, having won three of their last five matches to collect 11 points from a possible 15. Their recent run underlines the challenge they pose and marks the fixture as a potential banana skin.

Our own recent form has been mixed, with two wins, two draws and one defeat in our last five outings. Improving that return will be key as the team looks to maintain momentum and stay firmly in the title race.
