We secured our place in the ODM@20 tournament final after a tense 1–1 draw with Shabana FC, prevailing 4–3 on penalties at Mbaraki Sports Club.
The match remained tightly contested throughout 90 minutes as both sides battled for dominance. We took the lead just before halftime when Samuel Kapen capitalized on a loose clearance inside the box, slotting the ball past Caleb Omondi to make it 1–0.
Shabana responded in the second half, leveling the score through Henry Obinno after a defensive lapse on our side.
Despite both teams creating further chances, neither could find a winner in regulation time, sending the match into a shootout. In the penalty decider, we held our nerve and converted 4 out of 5 kicks against 3 by Shabana, booking our ticket to the final against Bandari FC.
Coach Charles Akonnor rotated the squad significantly for this match, resting several first-team regulars, including Enock Morison, Ebenezer Adukwaw, Paul Ochuoga, and Bryton Onyona. Austine Odhiambo, Michael Kibwage, Bryne Omondi and Ben Stanley were away on international duty
We now await Bandari FC in the final, aiming to cap off the celebratory tournament in style.
