Assifuah settling fast, makes early impact

Gor Mahia’s latest addition, Ebenezer Assifuah, is already making his presence felt at K’Ogalo after a promising start to life at the club.

The Ghanaian forward, who joined earlier this month, has wasted little time in endearing himself to the Green Army, registering a goal and an assist despite featuring only as a substitute so far.

Assifuah was once again influential in Gor Mahia’s 3-0 win over Mara Sugar on Sunday, providing the assist for the third goal and continuing his encouraging run of performances off the bench.

His early contributions have underlined both his quality and his readiness to adapt to the demands of the SportPesa League.

Speaking to the club’s media team after the match, Assifuah expressed his gratitude and reflected on his settling-in process.

“I thank God, the players, the management, the coaches, and my teammates because I am settling and getting into the team bit by bit,” he said. “I felt some pressure on the very first day I came here, but it has not been difficult for me to settle in Kenya because I have my brothers here, Morrison, George Amonno… and even the coaches.”

The forward also played down any pressure to deliver immediately, insisting his focus remains on steady progress and collective success.

“We are taking it game by game,” Assifuah added.

With his confidence growing and his understanding of the team improving, Assifuah’s early signs suggest Gor Mahia have added a valuable attacking option as they push on in their title challenge.
