We are delighted to welcome striker Hansel Ochieng to the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The experienced forward joins us on two-year deal after an impressive campaign with APS Bomet, bringing with him valuable top-flight experience, proven goalscoring ability and a determination that has defined his journey through Kenyan football.
Ochieng’ has built his career through hard work and perseverance, featuring for several SportPesa League clubs over the years.
He first made his mark with Nzoia Sugar FC, where he established himself as one of the league’s promising young strikers. During his two seasons with the Bungoma-based side, he scored eight goals and produced performances that earned him a move to AFC Leopards.
Ochieng’ would later feature for Kakamega Homeboyz and Nairobi City Stars before joining APS Bomet ahead of their maiden season in the top flight.
It was at Bomet that he enjoyed one of the finest spells of his career, emerging as the club’s attacking leader and one of the standout performers in the league.
His performances during the 2025/26 season caught the attention of football fans across the country, none more memorable than his outstanding brace against Gor Mahia in APS Bomet’s famous 4-1 victory.
Despite suffering a shoulder injury midway through the campaign, Ochieng’ battled back strongly to continue playing a key role for his side during the remainder of the season.
Known for his strength, intelligent movement and ability to lead the line, Ochieng offers Gor Mahia quality options in attack, comfortable playing with his back to goal while equally capable of finishing inside the penalty area.
He adds depth and experience to a squad preparing for the demands of both domestic and continental football.
As we prepare to defend its league crown and return to the CAF Champions League, his experience in the top league and his recent goalscoring form make him an exciting addition to head coach Charles Akonnor’s squad.
