Head coach Charles Akonnor has named a formidable starting lineup for tonight’s CECAFA Kagame Cup Group A opener against APR FC, with several new signings handed immediate starting roles.

Byrne Omondi has been entrusted with the goalkeeping duties, with Humphrey Katais providing cover from the bench.

In defence, Daniel Sakari will patrol the right flank while Mohammed Siraj takes charge of the left-back position.

Match-day captain Mike Kibwage partners Frank Odhiambo in central defence, stepping in for the injured Sylvester Owino.

The midfield trio features Alpha Onyango as the anchorman, with new signing Enock Machaka offering support alongside Jackson Dwang, who completes the three-man engine room.

Upfront, Patrick Esombe leads the attack and will be supported by new boys David Okoth and Paul Okoth, both handed their competitive debuts.
