Gor Mahia cruised into the Round of 32 of the Mozzart Bet Cup with a comfortable victory over Dero FC in a match played at Mamboleo Stadium, Kisumu, on Saturday.
Samuel Kapen gave K’Ogalo the lead in the 24th minute, firing in a well-struck effort that went past the Dero FC goalkeeper. Gor Mahia dominated proceedings thereafter but were unable to add to their tally before the break, going into halftime with a slender 1–0 advantage.
The dominance continued in the second half, and the breakthrough eventually came when Levin Odhiambo doubled the lead, calmly converting from close range after a fine cross from Ebenezer Assifuah.
Fielding a largely rotated side made up of players who have seen limited game time this season, Gor Mahia remained in complete control, managing the game with composure and seeing out the contest without alarm to seal safe passage into the next round.
