In a major relief, all four Gor Mahia players involved in a Friday road accident have returned to full training and are confirmed to be in good health ahead of Sunday’s high-stakes derby against AFC Leopards at Nyayo Stadium.
Head coach Charles Akonnor confirmed the positive news during Monday’s session, stating that the players, Austin Odhiambo, Felix Oluoch, Fidel Origa and Joshua Onyango are all well after being granted two days rest.
“We are thankful to God that all the boys who got involved in the accident are healthy,” said Akonnor.
“Today was their first day back in training and everyone is in good shape. It was a situation that could have taken someone out of the squad but we are set and very ready as we prepare for the upcoming match.”
The team is now fully focused on Sunday’s 3pm clash against rivals AFC Leopards with preparations back on track.
Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early through official channels ( langopass.com ) to avoid missing one of the most anticipated fixtures of the season.
