Gor Mahia assistant coach Bismark Kobi says the team is sharpening key areas of their game as preparations intensify ahead of Saturday’s league clash against Sofapaka at Nyayo Stadium.
Speaking after the team resumed training, Kobi revealed that the players were given a short break following their last outing before turning full focus to the upcoming fixture.
“From our last game, the players did well, but there are some technical areas we need to improve, and we have already started working on those,” Kobi said.
“We gave the players two days off, and today we began preparations for Saturday. We are adding more seriousness to our training, and we will be ready.”
The assistant coach acknowledged Sofapaka’s quality, noting that the technical bench has closely studied their opponents’ recent performances, including their last match against AFC Leopards.
“We watched their game against Leopards and they are a good team,” he added. “From what we saw, we already have a plan on how to approach the match. We can’t reveal much, but we will be serious about it. They are a strong side, and we will need to play above ourselves if we are to beat them.”
With Gor Mahia pushing to maintain momentum in the title race, Kobi emphasized the importance of focus and intensity in the build-up to Saturday’s encounter.
The Green Army will be hoping the hard work on the training ground translates into another strong performance as K’Ogalo look to secure maximum points at Nyayo Stadium.
