Gor Mahia midfielder Mark Shaban has expressed satisfaction after playing his part in the club’s 1–0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz, coming on as a second-half substitute during a tense period of the match.

Introduced when K’Ogalo were under pressure, Shaban revealed that his instructions were clear and simple: help the team maintain possession and see out the result.

“It was good to get involved in the game, even though I came in when we were under pressure,” Shaban said after the match. “We stayed composed and managed to secure the three points.”

The midfielder also highlighted how the minutes on the pitch boosted his confidence as he continues to settle and grow within the squad.

“This game gave me confidence because I got some minutes. As I get more playing time, I am building myself,” he added. “When I came in, the coach told me we were under pressure and that my role was to keep the ball and help the team secure the three points.”

Shaban’s calm display helped us control the closing stages of the match, underlining the importance of squad depth as we push forward in our league campaign.
